STEAM Enrichment Program
Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics

Biometric Parent Finger-Print Security
Basic Elements Academy understands parents want a safe and secure facility where they can feel comfortable sending their child with ease. This is where our Chief Operating Officer played a key role in designing our security procedures and features throughout our facility.
Featured in our main lobby is our biometric computer based program, which only enables main door access back to our classrooms via fingerprint. Upon registration, parents will have their fingerprint scanned, in addition with picture ID recognition, in our computer system granting only the registered fingerprint access to our classrooms.
Research has proven pet relationships in an educational-related setting has a strong impact inside the classroom. Children who have difficulty transitioning to new environments, building friendships, and calming behaviors have been observed to act differently with a presence of a pet. They demonstrate greater self-confidence, more consistent awareness of the pet’s needs, and gain the ability to transfer these behaviors to their friends, teachers, and family.
Our certified therapy dog, Cookie, has received national certification. Daily, Cookie will have the opportunity to visit each classroom with her trainer in a structured, yet relaxed setting. Our students will recognize Cookie is trained to help at Basic Elements Academy and is not an ordinary pet.
